I enjoyed reading The Gentleman's Scandalous Bride (The Chase Brides Book 7) by Lauren Royal and Devon Royal is a sweeter and cleaner version of the book Rose written by Lauren Royal. This story gave me a view of the 1677 England, when Charles II was ruling over the country. This is the reason I enjoy reading historical romances; I get an insight into the history books I grew up loving to study and read, yet having a love story written alongside. I enjoyed getting to know Rose’s family and loved that given the historical times the freedoms her family gave to their daughters. I also liked reading about the social life around the royal court with the titled and all of the shenanigans that occurred at those events. I highly recommend this fun and entertaining book to all readers. The characters were well written and complex. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I genuinely enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I highly recommend this book to other readers and can’t wait to see if there will be another book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

DEVON ROYAL is the daughter of romance novelist Lauren Royal. After attending film school, she wrote an award-winning TV comedy pilot and spent several years working in digital video production before turning her focus to fiction writing. Devon lives in Southern California with her husband. She also thinks her mother is the greatest.
